biography
Eduardo Gory Guerrero was born on October 9, 1967 in Mexico. He is the son of wrestler Gory Guerrero. His older brothers Chavo, Hector and Mando Guerrero were also wrestlers. He was trained by his father and made his pro debut in 1987. In the late '90s, he would both team and feud with his nephew Chavo Guerrero Jr. Eddie passed away on November 13, 2005. He is survived by his wife Vickie and three daughters, Shaul (14), Sherilyn (9), & Kaylie Marie (3).
Eddie started his career in Mexico. He got his first taste of International fame at the AAA PPV When Worlds Collide in 1994. Eddie and Art Barr lost their hair that night when they lost a match to El Hijo del Santo & Octagon. After that, he was signed by ECW where he competed in many classic matches against Dean Malenko. He would leave ECW at around the same time as both Malenko and Chris Benoit in the summer of 1995.
WCW:
He won his first belt in WCW at Starrcade 96 when he beat Dallas Page. In 1997, he feuded with Rey Mysterio over the Cruiserweight Title. Their match at Halloween Havoc was voted the match of the year by the fans of WCW. He missed the first half of 1999 when he was involved in a car accident. His four years in WCW also saw him as part of the Filthy Animals and Latino World Order.
The Radicalz:
In January 2000, Eddie left WCW with Malenko, Benoit, and Perry Saturn and they formed a group called the Radicalz. In his first WWE match, he suffered an arm injury and missed several months. He then worked an angle where he was in love with Chyna. He was caught cheating on her and they had a feud. In 2001, his personal problems forced him to leave the WWE for a while. When he returned, he was quickly arrested for a DUI and was released.
